Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Terra Compliance collects on terracompliance.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Effective July 7, 2026
Who we are
Terra Compliance (“Terra,” “we,” “us”) operates the marketing website at terracompliance.com. This policy covers information we handle through that website. If you have questions or want to exercise a privacy right, email us at privacy@terracompliance.com.
What we collect and why
Product analytics
We use PostHog (hosted in the United States) to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. PostHog automatically captures pageviews, clicks, scroll depth, and other product events (“autocapture”). We do not record your screen — session recording is disabled. PostHog honors your browser’s Do-Not-Track signal, and analytics only run when consent is enabled (see “Your choices” below).
Website visitor identification
We use RB2B to identify U.S. business visitors to our site for B2B sales outreach. RB2B may resolve a visitor’s name, company, and professional or LinkedIn profile from network and business data. Like analytics, this runs only when consent is enabled and honors your browser’s Do-Not-Track signal.
More specifically: when you visit our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email address. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising at any time by visiting app.retention.com/optout.
Demo and contact requests
When you submit our demo or contact form, we collect your name, company, work email, an optional phone number, and an optional message. We use this information to respond to you and follow up about Terra. When you submit the form we:
- notify our team in Slack so someone can reach out;
- send you an introduction email through Resend, our email provider; and
- create a contact record in Day.ai, our CRM.
Third parties and sub-processors
We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the site and our sales process:
- PostHog — product analytics.
- RB2B — website visitor identification.
- Resend — transactional and introduction email.
- Slack — internal team notifications.
- Day.ai — customer relationship management (CRM).
- Vercel — website hosting.
We do not sell your data for money
We do not sell personal information for money. We do use website visitor identification (RB2B) for B2B outreach, and some privacy laws treat that kind of data sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time — see below.
Your choices
Analytics (PostHog) and visitor identification (RB2B) are gated behind a consent flag stored in your browser’s local storage under the key terra-analytics-consent. It defaults to on. To opt out, set that value to "denied", and these tools will stop running in your browser. We also honor your browser’s Do-Not-Track setting: when it is enabled, analytics and visitor identification do not run.
Your rights
California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request access to or deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (which may include the visitor identification described above). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
GDPR and similar laws
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
How to exercise your rights
To make any of these requests, email privacy@terracompliance.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also opt out of analytics and visitor identification directly in your browser using the consent flag or Do-Not-Track setting described above.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. This policy is effective as of July 7, 2026.
